How to Track Orders

On July 3rd 2018 we officially announced improvements to our Enhanced Shipping Status tools: our TRACK ORDERS functionality which replaces our ORDER HISTORY tool.

Here's how it works...

Subscribing to Shipment Notifications

When you check out an order, you'll see a field called "Subscribe to Shipment Notifications". Simply enter your Email Address (or multiple, separated by commas). You will then be sent email by our shipment notificaiton provider, AfterShip, regarding where your package is, after the carrier has picked it up from Automann. 

You can optionally checkmark the "Notify these email address(es) for all future shipments - so the checkout process will always remember your selection for shipment notifications, for future orders.

You will also see "Subscribe to receive AfterShip notifications" in our CHECK STATUS window, if your order was not yet received. This subscription is the same as what appears in the Check Out page above.

AfterShip Email Notifications

After you subscribe to Aftership notifications, you will receive emails updating you of the status. The emails will include your Order #, Invoice #, or Web Reference #.

Track Order Status on Our Website

Even before we send your shipment details to Aftership, you can find out exactly where your order is in the entire order picking/fulfillment process, by going to our website and clicking "Track Orders".

You can perform a "Check Status" on either the Track Orders or Order History page.

Only portions of the information below, may be available to you for viewing, depending on the exact timing when you Check Status. As information is received, more information is made available to you.

Order Status = This will list your Order #, the Date the Order was Received, if/when we Completed the Order, and what Warehouse it was shipped from.

Fulfillment Status = One Order may include one or more Pick Tickets. And shipments are grouped by Pick Tickets. Thus you may see one or more PICK TICKET # sections, which will show the Date/Time Picking Began and if/when it Ended. It will also tell you if/when it Shipped and who the Carrier was, along with their Tracking Number, and if/when the order was Invoiced.

Shipping Details = Shows the Expected Delivery Date, to your door. This includes known warehouse processing delays. Also displayed is if/when the Carrier Pickup Date was made, and when the Carrier had a completed Shipment Delivery Date. and who signed for it.

Checkpoints = Is provided by the Carrier via our AfterShip notification vendor, and shows the progress of the shipment, after it's in the carrier's possession.

Carrier Tracking Links

On the main TRACK ORDERS report page, to the right of the "Check Status" link, will be the Carrier's own Tracking Number. You can see a summarized version of what will appear on the above "SHIPPING STATUS" that pertains just to the carrier status. This information comes from AfterShip.

Supported AfterShip Notification Carriers

Subscribers to email shipment notifications, will only receive emails if you shipped using one of AfterShip's supported carriers. As of May 2018, the carriers that Automann uses, that AfterShip supports, include: UPS, FedEx, USPS, ABF Freight, Best Way Parcel, DHL Express, Estes, Old Dominion, OnTrac, Purolator and SAIA LTL Freight. More carriers are added every few months, so check back for potential updates.
